Ingredients:
        50g (2 oz) wild rice 
          1 level teaspoon ground tumeric 
          1/2 level teaspoon ground ginger 
          25g (1 oz) butter or margarine 
          100g (4 oz) spring onions, trimmed and finely chopped 
          25g (1 oz ) finely chopped almonds 
          6 fresh apricots chopped (you can use dried apricots) 
          salt and pepper 
         
        Putting it together:
        Cook the rice with the tumeric. Drain well. 
         Melt the butter then add the spring onions, nuts and ginger. Gently 
          fry for approx. 5 minutes. 
         Remove from the head and stir in the rice and apricots. 
          Season and cool.
