Ingredients:
        8oz stoned rasins 
          8oz sultanas 
          8oz currants 
          4oz chopped mixed peel 
          4oz ground almonds 
          4oz glace cherries - quartered 
          8oz plain flour 
          1 level teaspoon mixed spice 
          pinch salt 
          8oz butter 
          6oz soft light brown sugar 
          4 large eggs 
          1 1/2 teaspoons brandy 
        Putting it together:
        Cream butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Fold in the dry ingredients, 
          adding the fruit and brandy last. 
        Bake in an 8 inch tin. Bake in the lower part of the oven at 300F for 
          3 1/2 hours.
