Ingredients:
        225g (8 oz) washed cranberries 
          225g (8 oz) sugar 
          15ml (1 tablespoon) port 
        Putting it together: 
        
        Put the cranberries in a saucepan and cover with 300ml (1/2 pint) of 
          cold water. 
          Bring slowly to the boil over a moderate heat. 
          Remove the cover and simmer for a further 10 minutes or until the berries 
          have burst. 
          Add the sugar and port and cook gently until the sugar has dissolved. 
        Cool before serving. 
        Serves 4-6
